Those annoying skin tags are benign and totally harmless, but no one wants these unsightly skin growths to be shown on their skin. No one is yet sure how or why these skin problems are triggered, but genetics do appear to be one of the factors involved. Instead of trying to keep your body “under wraps” and hidden from view why not learn how you can get rid of skin tags with the following tips and home remedies.
1. Grapefruit Juice
Use a cotton swab to apply a small amount of fresh grapefruit juice to an unwanted skin tag. Repeat this treatment 4-6 times a day. Always rub the cotton swab vigorously over the skin tag as you apply the grapefruit juice.
2. Hardy Citrus Oranges
These fruits have a noticeably musky scent. They are different from the standard oranges that are sold in most grocery stores. Briskly rub the rind of a Hardy Citrus Orange against the skin tag for a few minutes. Repeat this treatment 2-3 times a day and you should get rid of skin tags within 7-10 days.
3. Tea Tree Oil
Use 3-5 drops of Tea tree oil to help get rid of skin tags. Apply the oil to a clean gauze pad and then rub the oil onto the affected skin 2-3 times a day. After 7-10 days the skin tags should be gone.
Use a small piece of peeled ginger to remove skin tags from your body. Rub the unwanted skin tags with ginger twice a day. You should soon notice that the skin tags are becoming less visible. If you continue to use this ginger remedy on a regular basis, you should be able to get rid of skin tags naturally in 4-6 weeks.
5. ACV (pure Apple Cider Vinegar)

This is an old remedy that helps remove warts and skin tags. Dab the skin tag with a small amount of castor oil twice a day. To maximize the results you should place a clean bandage to the site after each application of the oil.
8. Clear Nail Polish
It may be helpful to cover a skin tag with a coating of clear nail polish. Apply a new coat of nail polish to the skin tag once a day. Soon you will discover that the skin tag has been naturally destroyed due to lack of cellular oxygenation.
9. Aloe Vera
Try using an aloe Vera plant as a skin tag remedy. Extract the gelatinous material from inside a small portion of a leaf and then rub it against the skin tag. Do not rinse. Cover with a small gauze bandage. Repeat the treatment twice each day until the skin tag has vanished.
10. Garlic Juice

15. Thread or Dental Floss
You can try to disrupt the flow of blood to a skin tag by tying a bit of thread, or dental floss, around the base. Keep the thread as close to the surface of your skin as possible. When you stop the blood circulation to this unwanted tissue growth the skin tag should soon shrivel and die.
16. Peach Pit
Use the pit of a peach as a natural abrasive for your skin. It is best to use a fresh peach pit that still has a little pulp and juice present among the ridges. Briskly rub the peach pit over an unwanted skin tag for 5-10 minutes each day. After just a few days you should notice that the skin tag is shrinking. Many individuals claim that this home remedy has eliminated skin tags in as little as 7-10 days.
Use a pair of clean cuticle scissors to clip the skin tag at the base where it connects to your skin. Apply a small amount of antiseptic ointment to the area after the skin tag has been clipped.
